Street Fighter IV · Combo Video · 2012
Desk's tool-assisted Julia combo pushes Street Fighter IV's link timing to its absolute limits. What makes this 61-hit sequence remarkable isn't just the hit count—it's the execution barrier created by one-frame jab links that cannot be plinked, forcing frame-perfect inputs throughout. The combo exploits Julia's dash-cancellation into her forward+medium punch elbow strike, then chains into her quarter-circle-back punch special, which can be held and canceled back into dashes for extended loops. Desk spent considerable practice time refining the routing, especially the jab sequences that form the combo's technical core. The original tool-assisted version by Jadeshikonapan provided the proof-of-concept, but Desk's rendition demonstrates what becomes possible when execution barriers are overcome through sheer dedication. The awkward spacing and link demands throughout make this a striking example of how deep character optimization can reach in the game's combo system, where finding creative cancellation paths unlocks entirely new damage possibilities. This is fighting game experimentation at its most demanding.
I had to practice so much to actually capture this. It's the 1 frame jab links that really did it but it's of comparable difficulty to Chun;s 150+hit loops from SFIV. Although it was the jabs that really ramped up the difficulty (especially since they can't be plinked) pretty much eve
