Street Fighter V · Combo Video · 2016
Street Fighter 5's post-KO system proved notoriously restrictive compared to its predecessor, blocking stored supers and preventing charged specials from activating after a knockout. This video explores what's actually possible within those constraints, uncovering creative workarounds that push against Capcom's design limitations. The footage captures unconventional setups and timing tricks that bypass the game's safeguards—techniques that wouldn't exist if the mechanics were less restrictive. Birdie's chain special becomes a focal point, demonstrating how the auto-charge system can be manipulated for unexpected results. Rather than accepting the mechanical ceiling, the creator systematically breaks down what slips through the cracks, treating SF5's post-KO rules as a puzzle to solve. The video features a diverse cast including Ryu, Ken, Bison, Zangief, Cammy, and Vega across related combo breakdowns, each adding perspective to the core discovery. What emerges is less about flashy execution and more about understanding system behavior—finding the gaps in an intentionally closed system and proving that determination can unlock hidden potential even when developers worked hard to prevent it.

Stored Supers and specials just don't come out after KO (unlike SFIV) also, if you active a special that can be charged, then a KO happens, the game automatically charges it and doesn't allow it to come out (this happens with birdie's chain special). However, if you try hard enough, you can do…
