Just finished watching it then, very nice editing and combos but I didnt like that music too much in this vid, ive loved the songs from all your other vids though. Expected a bit more XvSF combos, and yeah the XvSF combos that were in it though were nice, especially liked the charlie combo on jugg, and the dhalsim combo, the cammy was good too but IMO the combos in SNH2 were better, which is not an insult because thats my all time favourite vid and nothing can compete with it, as for the COTA combos they looked pretty awesome too even though i dont understand the game, garou i have no idea about the game so i cant comment on that, and for Super Turbo there were some nice combos, nothing too new though but still very nice, i was amazed at the guile combo on zangief, you did a sonic boom and connected a super off it right after it, i have no idea how you did that and didnt even know it was possible. Now the MSH combos.. my fav was the wolverine one, really nice midscreen inf.
Umm its 4:42am here and im tired and i forgot what else games were in this vid, but well done i enjoyed it and its sad to see you retiring from making combo videos, Excelent vids you have made throughout your the year or so especially lezard vol 1 and 2, and last but not least my fav combo vid of all time SNH2.
Anyway a big thanks for making these vids and showing new things that people thought were impossible, and you and Prozac will allways be remeber as XvSF combo gods.
Anyway excuse my poor grammar and sentence sctructure etc.. im very tired im off to sleep. Big Thumbs up for Lezard!

heya Lezard,
i must say that your second segment with the "finish..." failed miserably to trick me becos i noticed the "ppp" and the noticeable time left on the vid.
i've always wanted to comment on your past works (like SNH2 and some vids where Prozac was in too..which i havent formally do so yet). And now before i know it, i see ur final work (another reason why u guys should take the right action before the girl gets taken or stolen). It stirs certain feelings of loss within me.
i dont play capcom games very much (anymore after street fighter 2).
But, from your combos, i know those things u displayed are INSANE.
We are not seeing combos like wolverine's repetitive combo that simply brings the combo counter to 99, we are seeing combos where the victim gets pound all over the screen (which makes me go WTFM) or gets kick punched everywhere on his body (aka variation of attack combinations).
Sidetracking, i'm sure there's like 1 (dumb) person out of every hundred (normal ones) thinking "heh, it's easy to do those combos even though i never played the game before". Ok, mesh light Punch 200 times within 90 seconds, that's as easy and effortless as it gets. I hope these buncha smart people (which i havent really noticed anyone in here falling into such category yet..but i wont laugh or point at them even if there is becos..uhm..people are entitled to their...uhm...opinion! yeah!) realise the coordination of the sight and fingers isnt even considered yet.
The editing is classic goodness.
SnK2 (if i referenced correctly) has insert of a clip that's excessively long (chun-li bathing, my type of scene actually, but it drags that vid into unwanted break time for the viewers when things are heating up, that scene could have been improved by breaking up the scenes and flashing portion-edited of them successively to accelerate the immediate of it before flashing the final segment in full). It is good that this vid doesnt have excessively long anime clips. Good to see some intro cgs (like the one with geese howard in the 3rd segment) utilised since no anime clip inserts are used (i hope i didnt missed it).
Also, it is good to see this vid free of OMG WTF and stuff becos i believe most of the viewers (who appreciates 'these kind of wine') naturally has the subtitles of "OMGWTFisthat??" type of text in their minds, so it was rather redundant to have them all over the place as like in SnK2.
The choices of songs in this vid all tends from low to mid pace. I believe it is your intention for a non-gregory (non-bombastic) epilogue to a series. Rather, one that tends towards 'gentle' and 'fond memories'.
Though, I would agree the 1st song brings a better beat to the combovid (due to the type of person i am).
The second (funk type of) song kinda stagnates of declines the climax of the combo vid. The last song has song nice rhythm actually so it's a nice choice to round things off. The 3rd part sounds pretty 'classical' as what some described.
In my opinion, the 2nd song (if not replaced with one containing faster beat/rhythm) may do well placed as the 1st song. The 1st song can be placed as the 3rd song and the bleach song may do well be placed as 2nd and i believe this might retain the theme u intented for the last vid, meanwhile, maintaining a higher degree of climax (uhm, yeah, sounds kinky). But this might mean the comboclips have to be re-arranged too becos i found the combo displayed to kinda suit song 1 and song 3 (bleach song) respectively.
The ending might be even better if u included ur avatar doing some thumbs up pose after the "until next time" before the black screen takes over.
In the end, thanks for all the amazing work.
I know we will still get to enjoy fragments of your amazing stuffs in the future This post was edited by bamjam (07-17-2005 10:34 GMT, --- ago)

Thanks for the comments everyone, first off, i'd like to answer some questions:
Quote DanielC :
One question, during the XvSF Ken Infinite, what is that effect called? Anyway, hope you come back sooner or later. And thanks for naming your screenname after my favorite Valkyrie Profile character.
That effect belongs to Ulead Video Studio 9, it is within the "Masks" transitions. I liked Valkyrie Profile a lot, and Lezard Valeth was the coolest char in the game :D.
Quote Juan Fra :
Now onto my question: the Guile combo at 9:37, how did you walked in between the Sonic Boom and did the Flash Kick??
After you charge the Flash Kick (or any other charging move), there is a very little time (microseconds) when you can press any other direction (forward, in this case) and then finish the move, it's very easy, really. This was the way i used to combo the famous J.HK, S.HP->Flash Kick.
Quote ssf2t :
just peeped the video, professionaly done, combo's on point and just great to watch. The effort you put in is insane, again great video.
Thanks
Quote ssf2t :
your guile combos...........dammmm and motw just defends, keeps my jaw dropping
Yeah, lot of time doing them
Just so you know, i'm not fully retiring, i don't think i will make another videos of my own like this one and the others i have released, but if someone needs help or combos to add to a video, i'll be glad to help, and i'll continue editing of course. And who knows, maybe i find a game that i like a lot, i can just make another vid and announce a comeback .

maybe, this is done by storing down back, then doing the sonic boom at forward down + punch.
since down is still stored, up + kick can be done soon afterall.
if that doesnt work becos street fighter requires strictly forward + punch to execute sonic boom..then maybe, tap forward + punch and go back to charge down ASAP.
dont have the game to test it out, sorry.

Lezard: I've read your explanations above about the ST combos, but your explanations do not make sense when you look at the frame data for ST. If you used the "no charge time" cheat, then it all makes sense, but you claim you didn't use cheats, so could you please give me a detailed clarification on how you did these combos, given the following information...
Guile combo at 5:22 - meaty Sonic Boom, j.RH, cr.Strong xx Sonic Boom, super
Why I'm asking: You do not pause at all between the Sonic Boom and the super. That means that you only had about 30 frames to charge, but the super requires 59 frames (55 frames to charge, plus four more frames to complete the motion).
Balrog combo at 5:44 - cross-up j.Fierce (or j.RH), cr.Jab x2 -> kick rush, punch rush
Why I'm asking: The punch rush requires 63 frames to charge, so obviously you can't charge twice in that combo, and you can't do two rushes off the same charge because the kick rush lasts too long.
Balrog combo at 5:48 - j.Fierce (or j.RH), kick rush, super
Why I'm asking: You do the kick rush immediately after landing, without waiting. Against Zangief, with absolute perfect timing, after jumping towards, the maximum charge you can get is 26 frames, but the kick rush requires 54 frames to charge.
Guile combo at 9:40 - meaty Sonic Boom, whiff knee lunge, cr.Strong (hits same time as Sonic Boom) xx Sonic Boom, cr.Strong xx Sonic Boom, walk towards, Flash Kick
Why I'm asking: After the first [cr.Strong xx Sonic Boom] you do not pause at all before doing the next cr.Strong. That pause is necessary in order to have enough charge time for the Sonic Boom.
Also, when you do [Sonic Boom, walk towards, Flash Kick], you immediately walk towards after the Sonic Boom, which means you had the Flash Kick charged in about 30 frames, but the Flash Kick takes 54 frames to charge.
Guile combo at 11:30 - meaty Sonic Boom, whiff knee lunge, Sonic Boom, cr.Strong xx Sonic Boom, opponent dizzied, meaty Sonic Boom, j.Forward, cr.Jab xx Sonic Boom, cr.Strong xx Flash Kick
Why I'm asking: Same as above, you do not pause after the Sonic Booms. Those pauses are necessary in order to combo like that after the Sonic Boom.
Additionally, at 11:34, when the opponent is dizzied and you charge up for the next Sonic Boom, it certainly does not look like you charged for 54 frames...
