I`ve made a match against the cpu in the training mode and the cpu was able

to parry all my moves including Ryus MAX-Super-Firebal! Then i tried to do the same but it doesnt matter how fast i had mashed the

parrybutton! Can anybody tell me the solution to master this problem?

I had never heard the Parry action referred as a button.
After all, it

uses the joystick. But whatever.
Mashing the joystick is not going to improve your successful parrying rate.
Parrying is a precise

timing thing.

I think kuya is really new or something:D. kuya what you do is pick

P-groove and right when your opponent is about to hit you with a move be it a fireball kick punch whatever you tap forward and it

will parry. as far as cpu parrying in training mode you might of hade auto parry on to turn it off press start goto dummy options, and

turn parry off. I really hope this helps you

guys be nice ;) I bet you he looked something like this

videofile with this mighty action? And what i also want to know is are there any trix or tips for beeing able to do the same or is it

only the right timing? and your right i`m new in this Forum but I`m no newbe in playing streetfighter! Yes, i agree that parry is no

button thats my fault but in this moment of stress i forgot the right word. My mothertounge is German! Sorry guys.

http://www.obot64.com/media/
Scroll down to [CvS2 Tactics Video]

"Rushing Down".
Upon completion of download, skip to 1:28.
It should be Ryu (N-Groove) vs Raiden (P-Groove).
As you will

plainly see, Raiden parries all 5 hits of Ryu's MAX Super Fireball.
As far as tips and tricks for parrying in CvS2 are concerned, I

have not heard of any.
You will just have to practice extensively to get the timing down.

And I'd like to add that the parrying in CvsS2 is not like the one in Sf3

which is more friendly. The one in CvsS2 requires more precise timing as well as less than a split second to accomplish. Don't think

the parry system in CvsS2 is equal to the one in SF3, because it isn't. It just has the same feature but is far more complex. Which is

why you will hardly see people pick P-groove. I mean, if it was just like it's Sf3 counter part then everyone would start picking it.

Well aside from that, P-groove requires more accurate precision as well as commitment. I've seen my fair share of people play with

P-groove and I have the utmost respect for them. But yes, anything is possible if you are dedicated enough.

Yes, it is possible, actually, you can parry "anything" in CvS2 if you time

it right. Just mashing buttons will not do, you need a precise and unique timing for every move. I myself have parried Ryu's L3

Hadoken, Ryo's L3 Super Hadoken, Ken's L3 Shoryuu Reppa, Chun Li's L3 (the kick one, don't know the name), you just need a lot of

practice, preferably when playing against some friends, the computer will not help, it's kind of unpredictable.

IIRC jchen cvs2

guide
had some good info on parrying.

I have been capable of parrying almot every super in the game in training mode and

some lvl3 supers in battle (the easy ones, ryu's Shinkuu hadoken and joe's double tornado), and I can tell you it's all about rythm,

just remember that every hit must be parried individually and that parrying a hit will cause a short freeze that you should take into

account.

answer! Kim in CvsS2 has a supercombo named ...Tornado! Id tried this move but he is only kicking a single time into the air! Could it

be that im doing something wrong? But i made this move like it stands in the Commandlist!

The super you are talking about is d,d/f, f x2 right? If so, then yes the

super is just a one hitter.

The only use I see for it is linking another super right afterwards since

it's juggle friendly.

You know, I never really used P-Groove too much, mostly N-Groove or C-Groove

for me, but I'm wondering...

Does P-Groove have the capability to red parry?

Red

parrying is when you parry out of block stun (ie. parry while blocking), and it isn't available in CvS2.

When i`m choosing shin akuma in

CvsS2 in a vs-battle shin akuma is so weak that hes dead with three or five hits!

Is this normal and why?

I guess it's becuase a expert shin akuma user would be practicaly

unstoppable in game, just like red venom in MVC.
they are both super fast-high priority-characters, you'd be lucky if you get a hit

in. I guess they just wanna make those hits count . . .

"Cheap" is defined as a tactic used repeatedly to subdue

opponents. Often used in a

negative tone by the victim because he/she is to incompetent to figure out a way out of the

psychological maze of attack delivered by

the cheap attacker. So now that they are helpless, they make attempts to discredit

thier owner rather than acknowledge the skill and

talent that is obvioulsy possesed by them, and not the victim . . . . . . .

I've parried almost every super in CVS2 and it's not easy..trust me. But I

understand where Kuya is coming from. Maybe if a few people here talk to BlazeD he can help get a tutorial parry video for CVS2 and 3rd

Strike. But what I want to see is just defend tutorial video showing how jd all kinds of supers and multiple attacks because just

defending multiple attacks is much difficult than to parry them. I know one person that know how to cancel out the bounce after just

defending airborne and just fall to the ground as if he parried. He says it's difficult to perform..maybe the next time I see him I'll

ask him to show me.

Videos:

These vids I have are from some guys I know real well. Probably the best where I'm from (Detroit) and

they're real tournament seasoned vets at this game . Anyway, one of the guys plays with Joe like I've never seen before. Since I too

play with Joe I try to mimic his strategies as much as possible. In order to watch these vids it'll require you to have a GameSpy ID

from www.fileplanet.com. Here's what to look for on the page:

Actually to me I would prefer the K-groove over the P-groove. I

personally like the just defending better than the parrying. For some reason its easier to me.
